As I’ve mentioned i like music, i play the guitar and saxophone and because of that i think i can appreciate how difficult it is to create music. In my previous post i posted my favorite bands. One of my all time favorite bands would have to be 3 Doors Down, and here are tw0 of their hit songs.

So, a little about me, I’m a 14 year old guy that lives on the East Coast. I’m a freshman in High School. I like music, i play the saxophone and the guitar. Some hobbies i have are….playing the saxophone, playing the guitar, wasting time on the computer, listening to music, wasting my time playing Call of Duty 4……..and some other stuff.

Anyone who reads this can see that i like music, some of my favorite bands are in no particular order:

1. 3 Doors Down

2. The Who

3. Weezer

4. Sugarcult

5. Blink-182

6. The Fray

7. Linkin Park

Plus tons of others, these are just the ones i can think of at the moment.

Anyway thats all about for me today.

Wow, I’m looking back on my previous post and i guess i had a really bad day. Truth is it’s been hard transitioning to High School but i think with time I’ll get used to it.

To illustrate this point I’ll hand it over the Weezer: Glorious Day.

Until next post,

First let me put this a delicately as i can…..

High School sucks.

Secondly let me explain why:

1. I’m a freshman, i.e everyone else is taller, bigger and scarier than me.

2. These tall big scary people have beards.

3. The school is gigantic, it’s like a maze.

4. I have to either walk home, or take (shiver) public transportation.

5. I have to walk home or take the bus with my saxophone.

However despite all this i have decided to keep an upbeat attitude. So what if everyone is bigger than me? So what if i have to take the bus? So what if i have to walk home with my saxophone? So what if……crap. its not working.

Also cliques were formed in about 4 seconds. They where based on these 4 things:

1. your friends from Middle School.

2. how “popular” you where at your Middle School.

3. how attractive you are.

4. Whether or not you are in this special after school program thingy.

Now, i fit for two out of these three things….i have two close friends form middle school with me.

And I’m very attractive.

Anyhoo, another thing was how outgoing you are. Now I’m defiantly not a shy guy, but i can’t strike up a conversation with anybody i see. So so far being in a clique has eluded me. Also i guess this could be a good thing. However with my friends in only two of my classes i can’t help but to wish to have some people to talk to. I guess that i have to make the first step though.

Alright this is about the end of today post, and thanks for reading my whining.

I guess sometimes i just wish i could be on an Island In The Sun.

As i mentioned in my last post over the summer i have been taking guitar lessons. So far this summer i have been taking these lessons from a really nice guy named Tony. He’s been playing guitar for 20plus years and hes uber-crazy-super-awsome good at it. Hes in a local band named Uncle Chunky and has made a CD. Heres a link to youtube to see him.

Tony’s the guy with the big orange guitar.

I’ve played it!!

It was AWESOME!

Anyhoo, other than being a great guy and a great guitarist Tony is also a great teacher. I’ve only been going the whole summer and already i can play little intros and songs such as Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes (Its the background he is playing in the song).

Also I’m learning how to play more advanced stuff such as Pinball Wizard by THE BEST BAND EVER aka. The Who. I play the chords in the beginning and the power chords too.

Oh and by the way Pinball Wizard is one of my all time favorite songs.

Any-who…get it? Who? As in the band? Huh? No….band humor….get it? BAND-humor?….bad humor?……anyways to listen to more of Uncle Chunky Click here:

Alright Tonight

And heres Tony playing Heaven by Jimmy Hendrix.

Thats all for now,

Well everyone, today i went to freshman orientation at the high school I’ll be attending. It wasn’t that bad….if you liked powerpoints and walking. I mean seriously, for the first two hours all i did was sit. Then for the second two hours all i did was walk.

This orientation did have some high points though, at the end we got (gasp) FREE ICE CREAM….they where actually Popsicles. Then i got to walk all the way home….which was about a 25minute walk through neighborhoods and under a creepy bridge to my house.

Now i write this post as i prepare to go off to a guitar lesson and i just wonder how will going to high school be like.

If it’s anything like the orientation though….i’m not going to be impressed.

Hello, hello, hello good readers!! I am back and posting again! Over the summer i contacted my old teacher mrmayo and asked him for my blog. Everything, or at least mostly everything will be the same with “Read Mine First” with the exception that this blog is no entirely me-based.

For anyone that doesn’t know my old english teacher, mrmayo created blogs for everyone in his class. Then we wrote on them over the year. I dubbed my blog “Read Mine First”, in the hope that readers would read mine…..first. Anyhoo, i wrote about bunches of topics, ranging from the genocide in Darfur, to deceptive advertising. I greatly enjoyed writing in my blog and decided to continue during the summer and the upcoming school year. Now, the only difference is that i’m the only person telling me what to write about, i.e not for school anymore.

Sooo, in conclusion….I’m back, and I’ll be writing on this blog from now on.
